Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief Gel can be used for up to 14 days under pharmacy supervision. If symptoms do not improve by day 7, or if they worsen within the first 7 days, a consultation with a doctor is recommended. Do not use for more than 14 days unless recommended by a doctor.
The gel is not recommended for use in children under 14 years of age.
Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief Gel requires only two applications per day, approximately 12 hours apart (morning and evening), to provide all-day concentrated relief from pain and inflammation. Regular application (according to instructions) creates a reservoir of diclofenac, the active ingredient, deep within the skin – a source of medicine that is available throughout the day.
Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief Gel can provide concentrated all-day pain relief by targeting pain and inflammation at the source. By applying the gel twice a day (morning and evening), a reservoir of diclofenac is formed to give the skin a source of active ingredient that provides long-lasting all-day pain relief (when applied regularly according to instructions). The Emulgel technology used in Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief Gel helps the active ingredient diclofenac to penetrate deeply into the skin and reach the site of the pain and swelling.
You should not use Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief Gel if:
You are allergic to diclofenac, propylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, butylhydroxy toluene or any of the other ingredients
You are in the last three months of pregnancy
You have ever had an asthma attack or allergic reaction after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs such as diclofenac or ibuprofen
If you are using NSAIDs or other products containing diclofenac
Children under 14 years of age

Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief Gel should only be applied to healthy skin and not rubbed into open wounds, infections, open injuries or any other area where the skin is abnormal.
Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief Gel should not be used with air-tight or water-tight dressings, however, non-sealed breathable bandages can be used. For further details regarding precautions of using Voltarol products please consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Most orders are despatched the same day and standard delivery is 3 to 5 working days from despatch. FAST Expedited options are available at extra cost - these usually arrive in 24-48hrs from dispatch but delays are possible during busy periods.
Postcodes outside of Zone 1 (including some areas within mainland UK) may incur extra carriage charges due to surcharges imposed by the couriers. These will be calculated on the website at the checkout.
NB: Orders placed with faster delivery must be placed before 13:00 to ensure same day dispatch (excluding weekends and bank holidays). Refrigerated items will be sent by carrier or express delivery at a cost of £7.50, with coolpacks, unless you pay for a premium for a refrigerated delivery. We will contact you prior to despatch for your instructions.

*Due to legal requirements medicines may not be returned except to correct an error in despatch or in response to an "official recall". If an item is believed to be faulty it should be returned for inspection and it may be necessary to forward it to the manufacturers for testing before replacements or refunds can be authorised.
