Prazitel XL Dog Wormer Tablets for Dogs over 35kg
Description
A yellow coloured oblong worming tablet with a breakline on both sides, formulated for the treatment of mixed infections by nematodes and cestodes in larger dogs over 35kg.
Active Ingredients
- Praziquantel: 175 mg
- Pyrantel Embonate: 504 mg (equivalent to 175 mg pyrantel)
- Febantel: 525 mg
Target Species
Dogs.
Indications for Use
Treatment of mixed infections by the following species:
Nematodes:
- Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult and late immature forms).
- Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults).
- Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis (adults).
Cestodes:
- Tapeworms: Echinococcus species, (E. granulosus, E. multilocularis), Taenia species, (T. hydatigena, T. pisiformis, T. taeniformis), Dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms).
Contraindications
Do not use with piperazine compounds. Do not use in animals with known sensitivity to the active ingredients or any excipients.
Usage & Dosage
One worming tablet per 35kg of bodyweight. Can be given directly or mixed with food. No need for fasting before or after treatment. Consult a veterinarian regarding re-infestation risks and repeated use.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Care should be exercised when administering to pregnant dogs, especially in the first 4 weeks of pregnancy. It's essential not to exceed the stated dose when treating pregnant bitches.
