Perhaps the best form of protection from blowfly is to treat with a product that will repel blowfly in the first place. Products such as Vetrazin and Clik Pour On will actively prevent fly strike from occurring. Vetrazin is suitable for sheep and lambs and is effective for up to 10weeks after dosing. Clik Pour On has an even longer efficacy at up to 16weeks.
For the control of lice and flies then Dysect Pour On offers a product for sheep and a product for cattle. Dysect Pour On for Sheep and Dysect Pour On for Cattle should only be used for their particular target species. Flypour is also ideal for the control of lice and mites in cattel, Flypour is effective against biting and sucking lice, as well as sarcoptic and chorioptic mange.
