Equimax Tabs (each pack treats 800kg) |
| Both Equimax® (syringe) and Equimax® Tabs are an all-in-one, combination wormer containing two different active ingredients. The combination of ivermectin and praziquantel is capable of treating multiple-specie infestations.
Equimax® Tabs is registered for use in all horses that have mixed infestations of roundworms, tapeworms and bots, and is the only product registered to treat all 3 species of equine tapeworm (more information : see Package Insert).
The formula of Equimax® Tabs is unique to Virbac and is protected by patents.
Safety Studies have proven Equimax® Tabs is safe to use on all types of horses.
A specific safety studyfor Equimax® Tabs was conducted to assess the safety when administered at x1, x3 and x5 the recommended dose rate.
Equimax® has been proven safe in stallions, in pregnant mares. It is equally safe on foals and can be safely administered to foals from 2 weeks of age. Nevertheless foals may not be able to crunch the tablets until they have enough teeth to masticate, so from a practical point of view it could be considered to wait until 9-12 months of age to treat foals with Equimax® Tabs.
Equimax® Tabs is the first broad spectrum equine endoparasiticide presented as a palatable tablet.
It has been flavoured with apple to make it especially appealing to your horse.
No wastage as any unused tablets may be stored in the tube for up to a year .
Dosage 1 tablet per 100kg - One tube of 8 tablets will treat up to 800kg bodyweight
Shape of the tablet: biconcave shape gives it a "sweet-like" appearance and makes it more familiar to horses
Thickness of the tablet: optimised thickness to ensure horses will take it from the palm of the hand (improved prehension)
Hardness of the tablet: optimised hardness for ease of mastication => not too soft and chewy, not too hard to cause pain when chewing
Apple extract: extracts of apples from Normandy give the tablet an irresistible odour and taste to maximise palatability
Equimax® Tabs further improves the ease of administration by ensuring that the worming procedure is a stress-free experience for the horse, as well as the horse owner, strengthening the human-animal bon.
