Closamectin Injection for sheep 4 x 250ml. For the treatment of mixed trematode (fluke) and nematode or arthropod infestations due to gastrointestinal roundworms, trematodes, lungworms, nasal bots and mites of sheep. A clear amber solution for injection containing 5mg/ml ivermectin and 125mg/cl closantel.
Closamectin Solution for Injection for Sheep is the only combination fluke, worm and scab injection available in Europe. Its unique combination of ivermectin and closantel gives broad spectrum efficacy against the majoritory of economically important stages of internal and external parasites in sheep.
Dosing Regime
Autumn & Winter
October: treat all at risk sheep for late immature fluke and worms.
November / December: retreat 6-8 weeks later if necessary (in wet years or wet areas).
January: treat all at risk sheep for adult and late immature fluke and worms.
Spring & Summer
Late April / Early May: treat all at risk sheep for adult and late immature fluke and worms. Pregnant ewes are particularly susceptible to worms during the pregnancy period.
June / July: retreat 6-8 weeks later if necessary (in wet years or wet areas).
Bought in stock
It is recommended that all bought-in stock should be treated and kept separate for at least 48 hours before introduction to the rest of the flock
Treatment of sheep scab with one injection of Closamectin Solution for Injection for Sheep will not be effective in eliminating all the mites. A suitable ivermectin-only injection must be administered 7 days later.
Dosage rate: 1ml per 25kg
Withdrawal period
Meat: 28 days
Milk: Do not use in sheep producing milk for human consumption, including pregnant animals intended to produce milk for human consumption.
