Like any other animal, cattle require regular worming in order to thrive and grow. All animals carry a worm burden, and the younger the animal, the more susceptible they are to parasites such as worms. Perhaps the easiest way to worm cattle is with a good quality pour on.
Eprinex is an excellent pour on which treats cattle for not only worms, but also mites, lice and mange. Eprinex should be given at the rate of 1ml per 10kg of body weight.
Noromectin Pour On is an ivermectin based cattle wormer which works in a similar way to Eprinex. Noromectin Pour On is used in the same way as Eprinex and should be poured in a straight line along the cows spine. For a great value alternative to Noromectin Pour on, the Ivomec Classic provides a similar treatment for a cheaper price.
Cydectin pour on for cattle is based on the new generation ingredient moxidectin. Cydectin pour on is ideal for use as an alternative to ivermectin based wormers. Rotating your wormer is considered good practice as it will prevent resistance forming to particular ingredients.
