As with dogs, the most comprehensive wormer we have for cats is the Drontal Cat Wormer. Administered in tablet form, this single dose wormer is effective against most types of roundworm and tapeworm. Drontal Cat should be used every three months, although hunting cats may need worming more often. Drontal Cat is not licensed to be used in pregnant cats or in kittens under six weeks of age.

Droncit Tapewormer comes from the makers of Drontal Cat tablets but in an easier to use form. Droncit is simply applied to the back of the neck and is effective ONLY against tapeworms. To treat other worm species Dontal Cat or Panacur would need to be used. Fleas can transmit tapeworm and as a result effective flea treatments should be used to prevent this.

 Panacur also offer a range of wormers suitable for your cat, including Panacur Liquid, Panacur Paste and Panacur Granules. For cats who are difficult to worm with tablets, Panacur offers a range of forms to ensure that worming your cat need no longer be difficult. Pancur Granules can offer the ideal solution, simply sprinkle the correct dosage onto your cat’s food and because the granules are odourless you cat will simply eat its food normally.
