Description

Burns Meadow Mix 100g.

Description:

This delicious mix of flowers and leaves should be fed alongside hay and fresh greens (wild plants, herbs or vegetables) and a small amount of dry food as part of a healthy diet. Feeding Meadow Mix and our other single herbs provides your rabbits with a varied and interesting diet which reflects their natural feeding habits.

Meadow Mix can be fed as a really tasty, low fat treat or it can also be used to encourage your rabbit to eat more hay. Try sprinkling the Meadow Mix through the hay to encourage foraging behaviour whilst making the hay tastier! Hay should form at least 80% of your rabbit’s diet. Check out our feeding pyramid for more information.

For a really healthy diet, try substituting some dry rabbit food for our Meadow Mix and other herbs. Meadow Mix contains a natural blend of flowers and leaves supplying essential minerals in a low fat form. The inclusion of plantain, mint and chicory help to maintain a regular digestive system whilst the nettle and dandelion support a healthy urinary system.

Composition:

Dandelion, Chicory, Plantain, Mint, Milfoil, Chamomile, Marigold, Nettle, Birch tree leaf, Willow bark - Fibre 19.0%.

Feeding Guide:

Ideally the diet of the pet rabbit, guinea pig or chinchilla should mimic that of their wild cousins. Grass and hay must be the bulk of the diet. Hay should always be available and supplemented with fresh vegetables, wild plants and herbs. Dry pelleted food and cereal mixes should form the smallest part of the diet. Young, pregnant or nursing rabbits or those housed outdoors may need more high fibre dry pelleted food.
