Bob Martin Double Action Spot On for cats & small dogs less than 4kg (pack of 3)

Bob Martin Double Action Spot On is the first Imidacloprid flea treatment available without prescription. Easy to use and with a specially developed double action formulation that acts quickly to kill fleas on your pet and also target flea larvae in your pet's immediate home surroundings.

Effective and gentle - Bob Martin Double Action Spot On can be used on puppies and kittens from 8 weeks of age. Each treatment will protect your pet for up to 4 weeks. The specially developed double action formula:

1. Kills fleas on contact. Kills fleas before they can lay eggs - breaking the flea lifecycle.

2. Kills flea larvae in the pet's immediate surroundings, eg bedding or favourite resting areas, preventing re-infestation.

For Cats and Small Dogs weighing less than 4kg. Please ensure that you use the correct Bob Martin Spot On product on your pet, making sure that the product is specific to the animal. Always read the packs carefully before use. This product is suitable for use on cats and small dogs.

Monthly treatment of all cats and dogs in the household with Bob Martin Double Action Spot On, together with regualr vacuuming of pets bedding and resting areas are usually all that is needed to protect your pet and home from fleas. If there is a particularly heavy infestation in the home it may be necessary to also treat the home with a suitable approved home flea product such as Bob Martin Home Spray Plus.

Cats of 4 kg body weight and greater will need 2 tubes of Bob Martin Double Action Spot-On Solution 40 mg for Cats & Small Dogs.

The product remains effective if the animal becomes wet, for example after exposure to heavy rain or after swimming (dogs). However, re-treatment may become necessary, depending on the presence of fleas in the environment. In these cases do not treat more frequently than once weekly.

Using on cats.Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.
When two tubes are required for cats weighing 4 kg and over, both tubes should be applied to the same spot at the base of the skull. Using on dogs. With the dog in the standing position, part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.

General

The product is bitter tasting and salivation may occasionally occur if the animal licks the application site immediately after treatment. This is not a sign of intoxication and disappears within a few minutes without treatment.
Correct application will minimise the opportunity for the animal to lick off the product.

Apply only to undamaged skin. Do not allow recently treated animals to groom each other.

Care should be taken to avoid the contents of the tube coming into contact with the eyes or mouth of the recipient animal.

This product contains benzyl alcohol and may cause skin sensitisation or transient skin reactions (for example, irritation tingling).
Avoid contact between the product and the skin, eyes or mouth.
Do not eat, drink or smoke during application.
Wash off any skin contamination with soap and water.
If the product gets into eyes accidentally, the eyes should be thoroughly flushed with water. If skin or eye irritation persists, obtain medical attention.
If the product is accidentally swallowed, obtain medical attention immediately.
Wash hands thoroughly after use.
After application, do not stroke or groom animals until application site is dry (typically within an hour or so).
The solvent in Bob Martin Double Action Spot-On may mark certain materials including leather, fabrics, plastics and finished surfaces. Allow application site to dry before permitting contact with such materials. The product is bitter tasting and salivation may occasionally occur if the animal licks the application site immediately after treatment. In very rare occasions skin reactions such as hair loss, redness, itching and skin lesions may occur. Agitation and, in dogs, disorientation have also been reported. Excessive salivation and nervous signs such as incoordination, tremors and depression have been reported exceptionally.
No primary embryotoxic, teratogenic or reproductive toxic effects have been observed during the studies on rats and rabbits. Studies on pregnant and lactating bitches and queens together with their offspring are limited. Evidence so far suggests that no adverse effects are to be expected in these animals.

Re-infestation from emergence of new fleas in the environment may continue to occur for six weeks or longer after treatment is initiated. More than one treatment may therefore be required, depending on the level of fleas in the environment.
