BENYLIN® Children’s Night Coughs provides effective relief from children’s cough and congestion, helping them to sleep more easily.
It can also help to relieve runny nose symptoms associated with hayfever and other allergic conditions.
It’s sugar and colour free, and comes in raspberry flavour.
The active ingredient diphenhydramine hydrochloride relieves a cough and helps dry a runny nose, aiding a good night's sleep.
Levomenthol helps to relieve congestion and makes it easier to breathe.
Coughing starts when part of your breathing passage becomes inflamed or irritated.
The cough is simply a reflex to try and remove the irritant and clear the airway.
Coughs can either be productive (producing excess mucus or phlegm) or unproductive (producing no mucus or phlegm).
Chesty and mucus coughs are productive, whereas dry and tickly coughs are unproductive.

Each 5ml of cough syrup contains:
Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 7mg,
Levomenthol 0.55mg.
Also contains: Sorbitol Solution (E420), Ethanol.

This product contains 5 vol % Ethanol.

Dosage and Storage information
Updated safety warning: Not suitable for use in children under 6 years of age
Do not use if bottle seal is broken when purchased.
Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.
DOSE: For oral use only.
Children 6 to 12 years: Two 5ml spoonfuls every 6 hours.
Not suitable for children under 6 years. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use in children under 6 years.
Do not use more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
As with all medicines, if your child is currently taking any other medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist before this product is taken.
Diabetics: this product contains Sorbitol (carbohydrate content approximately 1.78g per 5ml).
Advice for older children and adults: If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Please consult your doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist.
