Welcome to the Anxiety and Stress section of Canine Chemists. There are many reasons why your animal may feel stressed or anxious however here at Canine Chemists we have a range of product to help alleviate your pets problems.

A brand new product on the market and one of our most popular is Zylkene. This all-natural product works in a similar way to prescription medicine Diazepam, but without the associated side effects. The main element in Zylkene is a natural protien found in milk called a peptide. The unique properties of this peptide allow it to bind temporarily with brain receptors creating a calming influence on your dog. Zylkene Capsules come in convenient capsule form that should be opened and sprinkled daily into the dogs food.

Another popular product is Dog Appeasing Pheromones that are normally produced naturally by lactating bitches. Using a synthetic version of this pheromone DAP releases a constant stream of the pheromone into your dogs environment. There are three different form of DAP: DAP Collars which are effective for up to four weeks once they are opened, DAP Diffusers which are effective for four weeks and a room size up to 70sq meters, or a convenient DAP Spray which can be used on the go, for example before travelling in the car etc.

If you know your dog to be particularly sensitive to loud noises then we cannot recommend our range of Audio CD’s highly enough. Sounds Scary and Clix Noise & Sounds CD’s both allow you to de-sensitise your dog to the sounds it finds threatening by allowing the dog to become acclimatised to them over time. The CD’s come complete with full instructions on how to use them effectively. These can also be used in conjunction with DAP Sprays etc.

Our customers also report good results with the natural calming products such as the Wendals range. This includes Wendals Dog Calmer and Wendals Liquid Dog Calmer.
